Terms of Use
Last updated: September 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Midwest.Events, including its website, accounts, event-discovery features, and related services.
By accessing or using Midwest.Events, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
2. About Midwest.Events
Midwest.Events is an event-discovery platform that helps users find events, festivals, attractions, and other activities throughout the Midwest.
Event information may be gathered from event organizers, venues, publicly available sources, third-party sources, or other information available to Midwest.Events.
Midwest.Events is generally not the organizer, promoter, operator, ticket seller, or venue for events displayed on the service unless expressly stated otherwise.
3. Event Information
We work to provide useful and accurate event information, but event details can change at any time.
Dates, times, prices, locations, availability, age restrictions, cancellations, weather policies, ticket requirements, and other details may change without notice.
Always confirm important event information with the event organizer, venue, or official event source before attending, purchasing tickets, or making travel plans.
We do not guarantee that every event listing is complete, current, or error-free.
4. Age Requirements
Midwest.Events is intended for a general audience.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use account-based features of Midwest.Events.
If you are under 13, you may browse publicly available content where otherwise permitted, but you may not create an account or submit personal information through account-based features.
5. User Accounts
Some Midwest.Events features may require an account.
You agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for activity occurring through your account.
If you use Google Sign-In, your use of your Google account remains subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security over your account and devices.
Please notify us if you believe your Midwest.Events account has been accessed without authorization.
6. Acceptable Use
You may use Midwest.Events for lawful personal and informational purposes.
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, accounts, systems, or infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of Midwest.Events
- Use automated systems to scrape, harvest, or extract substantial portions of the service except where expressly authorized by us or permitted by applicable law
- Submit malicious software, harmful code, or fraudulent information
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Use Midwest.Events for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
- Circumvent technical measures intended to protect the service
7. Event Submissions
Anyone with an account may submit an event for consideration. By submitting an event, you confirm that you are authorized to share the information you provide and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You grant Midwest.Events a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, edit, format, translate, and promote the submitted information on Midwest.Events and in related communications such as newsletters and social posts.
Every submission is reviewed. We may accept, edit, decline, schedule, hide, or remove any listing at our discretion, and we may contact you by email about the outcome. A submission is not a guarantee of publication.
Do not submit content you do not have the right to share, misleading or fraudulent event information, or material that is unlawful, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience.
8. Organizer Claims
Organizers may request control of an existing listing by verifying their connection to the event, for example through an email address at the event's official domain or a verification code placed on the event's official website.
Claims are reviewed by our staff and take effect only after approval. An approved claim allows you to propose changes to that listing; it does not transfer ownership of the listing, the catalog entry, or any Midwest.Events content to you.
Submitting a false or misleading claim, or attempting to claim an event you are not authorized to represent, may result in removal of access and termination of your account.
9. Email Communications
Event reminders and the periodic digest are optional and sent only if you turn them on. You can turn them off at any time in your account settings or through the unsubscribe link in those emails.
Some emails are operational rather than promotional — sign-in links, account notices, and messages about an event submission or claim you initiated. These are part of using the service and may be sent while your account is active.
10. Saved-Event Calendar Feeds
Midwest.Events can provide a private calendar feed of the events you have saved. The feed link is unique to your account and should be treated like a password — anyone with the link can see the events you have saved.
Do not post or share your feed link publicly. Calendar applications refresh on their own schedule, so a feed may not reflect changes immediately, and event details may change after they appear in your calendar.
11. Intellectual Property
The Midwest.Events name, branding, logos, original design elements, software, user interface, and original content created specifically for Midwest.Events are owned by or licensed to the operator of Midwest.Events and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Event names, event descriptions, photographs, logos, trademarks, venue information, and other third-party materials may belong to their respective organizers, venues, creators, licensors, or other rights holders.
Displaying third-party event information on Midwest.Events does not transfer ownership of that material to Midwest.Events.
12. Third-Party Websites, Tickets, and Services
Midwest.Events may link to event organizers, venues, ticket providers, maps, social networks, or other third-party websites and services.
Those services are operated independently from Midwest.Events. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, pricing, transactions, policies, or practices.
Your interactions or transactions with third parties are between you and those third parties.
13. No Guarantee of Event Availability or Experience
Listing an event on Midwest.Events does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of the event, organizer, venue, safety, quality, accessibility, availability, or experience.
Events may be modified, postponed, relocated, sold out, or canceled without our knowledge.
You are responsible for evaluating whether an event is appropriate for you and for taking reasonable precautions when attending.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Midwest.Events is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not warrant that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that all information provided through the service will be accurate or current.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Midwest.Events and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on event information.
This includes losses or inconvenience associated with inaccurate information, event cancellations, schedule changes, travel, purchases made through third parties, or interactions with event organizers or venues.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
16. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Midwest.Events when reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users, address violations of these Terms, prevent fraud or abuse, or comply with legal requirements.
You may stop using Midwest.Events at any time and may delete your account through available account settings.
17. Changes to Midwest.Events
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of Midwest.Events from time to time.
We do not guarantee that any particular feature, event listing, or functionality will remain available indefinitely.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Midwest.Events after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms where permitted by applicable law.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Midwest.Events, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
